Curves™ was founded by Gary Heavin along with his wife Diane in 1992. The first franchise operation started in 1995, and the graph has not slowed since then. Now they have over 9000 franchisees.

It has franchise operations in USA Europe, South America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand. Designed as a weight loss and fitness exercise center it currently has over 4 million clients.

The franchise can be bought only in un-represented areas and they certainly are not cheap. If you already have a franchise in your area, then the only way to have another is to buy the existing franchise. These are listed for sale on their web site.
